Spring in his yellow dress / Frühling im gelben Kleid

Spring in his yellow dres
Here is to hope, may we discover the wonderful moments that await us all. In the past few days, a lot has happened in Ireland. Native plants, shrubs and trees are finally beginning to wake up. Today I was walking, to see if I could find spring in the blank fields. I am delighted to report, he is there!A field full of yellow crocus and daffodils is a breath-taking sight.
*******

Here is a Blackthorn tree. Blackthorn is, for me, the real of Spring with her beautiful white flowers borne on bare branches. The Hawthorn bloom is one of the most beautiful spectacles of Nature occurring in Ireland…and I just LOVE it!
****************

In the past few days, has also Gorse begun to sprout. The sulphur yellow flowers of this spiny shrub grow everywhere wild in Ireland.

*************

The other really stunning spring show is given by Forsythia.

*************

To me, the spring is yellow. Apart from the white Blackthorn (!), many of wild early spring flowers are yellow. If we look at ground level in country lanes and along road verges, there are carpets of yellow there too.

******************
Almost most spectacular of all is the much maligned Dandelion, colonizing like carpeting whole fields,  all sorts of ground, where nothing else would be growing you would think . Yet it delights us at this time of year, with its sunshine colour, defying the cold bleak days of winter and giving us a promise of hopefully sunny and warm days ahead!
 *******************

I long for the awakening of the blossoms and the bleating of lambs. So, after what seemed like a long winter – spring has indeed sprung. Enjoy!!

We have found treasures / Wir haben Schätze gefunden

We have found treasures ... ..you have the name - Alexander and Tim

After 11 years of love and hard work, we are celebrating the birthday of our twins. Throughout the day buzzed around me memories of the day they was born ...  today a bit the emotion go with me through, so I'll let the pictures speak today  ...

And because the whole thing is done exactly 11 years ago today, the preparations were in full swing, of course ... But that was it somehow. Although the production of something ... colorful ... has expired, than expected ... But some fun must be, right? Then for the afternoon visit of course the treasure chest should not lack ...
And for all the good preparation it caught a then but with emotion when the kids freak out with joy about their birthday and one man brings some flowers. Not for the guys, but for me ... for: 11 years Twins Mum being. Hach!

From the Website Homemade I got my inspiration and I baked a chocolate cake box with tasty treasures in a treasure chest.

I wish you a wonderful weekend
with large or small your loved ones.
Love, Bea

Alles Liebe, Bea

St. Georges Market in Belfast

St. George's Market in Belfast

Since I'm a big fan of the Northern Ireland local food products and also often good've heard about the large indoor market in Belfast, we decided on a Friday to visit the market. I was overwhelmed, the market is a mixture with selling stalls from Asian, European and South American cuisine, including some of Northern Ireland's most popular foods such as homemade soda bread, wheat and if the famous Belfast bap. Seafood, meat, fresh fruits and vegetables are also abundant in the market. There is also a wide selection of homemade jams, chutneys and oils but also handmade gifts; Paintings, jewelery and ceramics, ideal if you want a holiday a little of Northern Ireland to take home.

In any case, I would like to advise you with an empty stomach to visit the market, it would be a shame not to taste to leave the market.
There is such a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes. Crepes, paella, curries galore along with the popular Belfast baps and the Cuban sandwich stall. Some local providers offer home-brewed beer and cider as the Armagh Cider. Who you are like me a sweet tooth, then the St Georges Market has a wide selection of cupcakes and dessert items. Some of Northern Ireland finest handmade chocolates, you should enjoy. The market is a great experience for the whole family with a live band entertainment.

The St George's Market is open from Friday to Sunday at the following times

Friday - from 06.00 bis 14.00 Clock Clock:

The Friday market presents a variety of foods, crafts, antiques and books and is one of the most popular fish markets in Ireland with more than 20 fish stalls with the freshest fish.

Saturday - 9.00 bis 03.00 clock clock:
The Saturday market presents food and craft and is highly recommended for those of you with love for handmade gifts and freshly prepared food.

Sunday - from 10.00 bis 04.00 clock:

The Sunday market is a mixture of the Friday and Saturday markets with a large emphasis on local gifts at low prices.

St. George’s Market in Belfast

Winter Pictures of Northern Ireland / Belfast ~ Winterbilder von Nordirland/Belfast

Winter Pictures of Northern Ireland / Belfast

Here in Northern Ireland we experienced a very uncharacteristic snow splendours with about 6 to 10 inches of snow lying on the ground the whole time.

Is not it beautiful?
I'm curious how much snow the day brings yet.

Snow White Greetings
Bea

Belfast Christmas Market / Belfast Weihnachtsmarkt

Brrrr ... Belfast today (the Black Mountain - is white) / Brrrr ... Belfast heute (der Black Mountain - weiß)

One of Belfast landmark buildings the famous City Hall with its beautiful gardens provide a wonderful backdrop for the Belfast Christmas Market, situated right in the heart of the City Centre.

Sweet success ~ a cake for Mom / Süßer Erfolg ~ ein Kuchen für Mom

Sweet success ~ a cake for Mom
Yesterday was my birthday.
I had a great day full of surprises, wonderful gifts, beautiful flowers, balloons and a relaxed dinner.
On Saturday morning, it was unanimously decided that I should be banished from the kitchen to the outside and could only come back to the kitchen whom it my children have allowed me.
They baked me the most amazing cake for my birthday and placed it in the refrigerator in a very large box.
The cake was filled with a cream and jam, covered with butter cream frosting and topped with a loving message.

In the afternoon I was then passed very traditional birthday table and opened the first gift, the highlight was of course the birthday cake.
And since what they - my body trembled with anticipation. It was mine. All my. Does she not look sweetly?

Alles meine. Sieht sie nicht einfach zuckersüß aus?

Surf ’n’ Turf
What really was the evening my dear husband has prepared a romantic dinner for me. Go eat there "Surf 'n' Turf", steak with lobster crab and as a side dish, baked potatoes with herb sour cream. I enjoyed it !! The meal "Surf 'n' Turf" exerts on me always a magical appeal. I think it's the combination of fine beef and seafood - I love both.

That was my birthday and I must say it was beautiful. They have given everyone so much effort. Right now I love my life as it is and I try this feeling as long as possible to hold. I just try to live in the moment and savoring it fully.

Surf ’n’ Turf

Eure Bea

Apple, pear - Stilton soup with chorizo and croutons / Apfel, Birne - Stilton-Suppe mit Chorizo und Croutons

Just a short post this
 morning with a couple of pix;

A beautiful autumn morning, it’s much too pretty to stay inside.
While I do see people in shirtsleeves, I’m happy in my sweater, and walk in the sun for awhile before choosing a different path through the woods.

I hear the l gulls and other birds I can’t identify. The light’s quieter here, through the moss and the big lacy from the ferns shine the sun's.

Back from my walk, waiting a warm soup on me, by my dear hubby cooked for us.

   ************

Nur ein kurzer Beitrag heute Morgen mit ein paar pix;
