Fruit Spice Cube / Frucht-Gewürz-Würfel



Fruity, spicy, nevertheless sweet are these baked cubes.
The recipe is simple and quick.

Fruit Spice Cube

Ingredients for 65 pieces
75 g of dried mangoes
75 g dried figs
75 g dried cranberries
100 ml orange juice
175 g butter
200 g mild honey
2 eggs
250 g flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp gingerbread spice
100 g whole almonds
150 g dark chocolate



  • The mangoes and figs cut in small cubes. Cook with cranberries and orange juice and remove from heat. Beat the butter and honey with an electric mixer (whisk) until creamy. Put the eggs one by one into the mixture. Mix and stir in the flour, baking powder and spice. Fold fruits almonds and juice in.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees (convection oven 160 degrees). Line out the baking tray with baking paper. Fold with aluminum foil a square (26 x 26 cm). Pour batter into the baking alumium square . Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Allow to cool.
  • Finely chop the chocolate and melt in a water bath. Cut the fruit cake in 3 x 3 cm cubes . dive the dice to half into the chocolate.

Fruchtig, würzig und trotzdem süß sind diese gebackenen Würfel.
Das Rezept ist einfach und geht schnell.

Frucht-Gewürz-Würfel

Zutaten für 65 Stück
75 g getrocknete Mangos
75 g getrocknete Feigen
75 g getrocknete Cranberrys
100 ml Orangensaft
175 g Butter
200 g milder Blütenhonig
2 Eier
250 g Mehl
3 TL Backpulver
2 TL Lebkuchengewürz
100 g ganze Mandeln
150 g Zartbitterschokolade

  • Mangos und Feigen in kleine Würfel schneiden. Mit Cranberrys und Orangensaft einmal aufkochen, vom Herd ziehen. Butter und Honig mit dem Handrührgerät (Schneebesen) cremig rühren. Eier nacheinander unterrühren. Mehl, Backpulver und Gewürz mischen und unterrühren. Früchte mit Saft und Mandeln unterheben.

  • Backofen auf 180 Grad (Umluft 160 Grad) vorheizen. Backblech mit Backpapier belegen. Mit gefalteter Alufolie ein Quadrat abtrennen (26 x 26 cm). Teig in den Backrand füllen. Im Ofen etwa 25 Minuten backen. Abkühlen lassen.

  • Schokolade fein hacken und im Wasserbad schmelzen. Früchtekuchen in 3 x 3 cm große Würfel schneiden. Die Würfel zur Hälfte in die Schokolade tauchen.
