The 2nd Day of Christmas (December 26) is called by the Irish / British Boxing Day.
Many recover from the "busy" Christmas on the 25th and meet with family and friends.
An old tradition says that the wealthy landowner that his Christmas went well in return, the servants were free on 26 December. He also gave each employee a "box" in the leftovers from Christmas dinner included.
It is still the tradition that the milkman, postman, paper boy on Boxing Day gets a tip.
